Where do I go?
Located in charming Southport, North Carolina, Skydive Coastal Carolinas is located just a few minutes from Oak Island. In fact, most visitors will drive right by the front door of Skydive Coastal Carolinas. Their facility is located at the Southport Airport. This makes getting to the airport as easy as going out for a seafood dinner.
What will I see?
There are few sights as incredible as seeing the earth from 10,000 feet while gently floating under a billowing parachute. When you take off from the airport you are headed directly above Oak Island. Once in the air you'll have a breathtaking view of the area being able to see from Myrtle Beach to Wilmington. Once you jump? Well, lets just say a picture is worth a thousand words.
Is it safe?
While any activity that includes jumping out of a perfectly good airplane can be risky the folks at Skydive Coastal Carolina adhere to the highest safety standards in the industry. The organization is a member of the United States Parachute Association, which is recognized by the FAA as the premier skydiving authority.
What to expect?
If it's your first time going skydiving you will go in a tandem set up. This means the crew at Skydive Coastal Carolina will hook you up with an experienced and well-trained instructor. During your jump you will be attached to the instructor and be using a larger parachute. All that is left to do is jump! Ok, that is a bit of an over simplification.
