This is year 2 staying at Shells Yeah and we could not be happier with this house and location! The deck is furnished with a large table and 6 chairs, rocking chairs, and high chairs, making it an ideal space for eating, reading, socializing, playing games, and relaxing, while taking in a beautiful view with a nice breeze! The house is located steps away from a public beach access, about a mile from the pier, close to the nature trail, and very close to grocery stores and fun places to shop! The house itself is nicely decorated and has everything you need to make it a home during your stay! The beds are comfortable, too! It is also comforting when you can have your dog join you on vacation!!

We have been renting on Oak Island for over 20 years, and this was a very nice rental. Our only two suggestions for the owner are to install a child/dog gate at the top of the deck stairs, and fix the stone pavers at the end of the walkway at East Beach Drive. They are loose and could be a trip hazard as they tend to tip. Some liquid nails would do the trick. Otherwise, a very nice and well maintained property.

It would have been nice if the instructions had said you need to pull the door towards you to unlock. After a long car ride the brain isn't always thinking clearly. The bedroom blinds need an upgrade or blackout curtains added, no one was able to sleep past sunrise. The hose in the outdoor shower has a break in the middle. The front yard could also use an ant treatment. There are large ant hills, the ants do appear harmless though. But the house was very nice and we enjoyed our stay.
